 President's Message
Dear reader
Welcome to 2010, a New Year and a new decade!!
This month also marks the beginning of my year as National President for
JCI UK. I am very much looking forward to a productive and exciting year in
working with all the local JCI Chambers across the UK in a bid to make our
fantastic organisation even bigger and better!!
One of the most exciting projects JCI UK are working on at the moment is
the development and launch of a new website. The aim of the new website
will be to improve the visibility of our organisation and to make many
aspects more user friendly to existing and potential members e.g. online
membership and events registration. We are on target to have the new
website complete by April and officially launched at President's Day in
May. We will keep you updated on progress in the coming weeks and months!
Our first National event of the year 'Inspiration Day' took place in
Bradford on Saturday 16 January. This is where JCI UK kicks off the new
year with a day full of inspiration and energy
for the year to come. This year's Inspiration Day certainly lived up to
it's expectations!! The morning featured a great session with creative
ideas generators 'Idea-licious' who really challenged us to
think outside the box in terms of growth and development ideas for JCI UK.
The afternoon featured two great keynote speakers magician and business
speaker John Hotowka and young Entrepreneur and Innovator
Emily Cummins. Yet again, Inspiration Day proved to be a
great way to meet fellow JCI members from all over the UK, get inspiration
for the year to come, and have some fun!
I am also delighted to let you know that JCI World President
Roland Kwemain will visit JCI UK and London from the 28th to 31st
January. We are currently working on an itinerary for his visit and will let
you know where he will be during his time in the UK. Happy New Year and all
